In my opinion, the concert was THE concert for me in terms of being able to experience a group composed of maybe some of the best 5 musicians ever to embrace us with their music. I respect everyone's opinion and I am not the one to critic those, but honestly, I dont care about lights or curtains or w/e, I care about the music. This gave us all the oportunity that we probably wouldve never had anywhere else, unless we wanted to spend around $700+ to fly somewhere and see them. We're actually lucky that they were humble enough to finally say "lets bring our B-rigs" and didnt say "ah fuck that" like Joe's G3 ended up doing for undisclosed reasons. Bands like Van Halen, Rolling Stones (who's tickets ranged up to $400 and we all paid $51) and such, are more known to the general public than Dream Theater. I cant help to count the endless number of times that I've mentioned them and ppl go like "Huh?", so that will influence greatly on the promoters (who are just trying to make money as simple as that) and their decisions. And in case you didnt notice, Mike Portnoy himself said it when its funny how they play a 2k seat with full gear in the US or a 20k bare rig show.. think about it. I respect everyone's opinion and I hope everyone respects mine. Its all about the music, not the looks ppl.
